What a great family restaurant tradition. It’s a throw back to restaurants of old where food was prepared on the grill behind the counter, and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Our waitress Karen has worked there 13 years and patiently answered our questions about the menu and the restaurant’s early days some 45 years ago. Note to owners- Karen is a Keeper!! What a great representative of your establishment. The menu is simple and full of goodness with selections like BBQ pork sandwiches, hamburger steak with gravy and grilled onions, turkey slices, various plated meals and more. They also have a good selection of sides. We had the grilled hamburgers today and every bite was delicious. We all agreed the fries were some of the best we have had and the prices are extremely reasonable. The menu says everything is prepared fresh and there may be a wait. The wait was worth it and while we waited, we enjoyed looking at the memorabilia on the restaurant walls. The menu is at...

This is as old school as it gets. While we take such places for granted in the Deep South, they can be hard to find in other sections of the country where BBQ is what we call “grilling out.” Don’t expect table cloths or fine china. Two of us got the burger, and it didn’t disappoint. In fact, it was larger than advertised and had all the flavoring of being cooked on a grill which has been seasoned for decades. Nothing gourmet about it…just a good, old-fashioned American classic cooked correctly with everything you need on it. Another one of us got the pulled pork sandwich, which was a man sized meal. He is a pretty big guy, and couldn’t finish it and the fries. He proclaimed it “solid,” an...

Small town hamburger joint vibe. I really enjoyed the 1/4 lb. Cheeseburger, fries and coke. (Fries were crispy & hot. First time in a while I have finished a whole order.) Husband enjoyed the barbecue, beans, and slaw. Fried Apple Pie is awesome. Service was top notch, very attentive. It was super crowded when we went but we got seated quickly.
